A Festive December

December at Rogers Health and Rehabilitation Center was a month filled with holiday cheer, festive activities, and warm memories that will last a lifetime. Our elders and staff came together to celebrate the season with a series of fun events, crafts, and outings that truly brought the holiday spirit to life. From creative crafts to heartwarming musical performances, here’s a look at some of the special moments that made December so memorable for everyone at Rogers Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Throughout December, our staff hosted several craft days, where our elders had the chance to express their creativity and make holiday-themed projects. One of the highlights was the creation of charming snowman lanterns, which brought a little extra sparkle to the season. Elders also had the chance to bake delicious treats, including "reindeer chow" and Christmas cookies—both of which filled our halls with the mouthwatering aroma of the season. It was wonderful to see our elders so engaged and excited to share their creations with each other.

To capture the magic of the season, our staff took the elders on a special outing to enjoy the beautiful Christmas light displays in and around Rogers. The joy on their faces as they marveled at the twinkling lights and festive decorations was a highlight of the month. For many of our elders, it was a chance to relive fond memories of past holidays, and for others, it was a new experience full of awe and wonder.

What better way to warm up on a chilly December evening than with a cup of hot cocoa? Our Hot Chocolate Social was a hit with everyone, as elders gathered to sip on delicious cocoa, enjoy sweet treats, and share their hopes and wishes for the coming year. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie and joy, as everyone took a moment to reflect on the year gone by and look forward to the possibilities of the year ahead.

One of the most touching events of the month was the visit from the Northwest Arkansas Home School Choir. The group spent a special afternoon with our elders, serenading them with classic Christmas carols. The sound of their voices filled the air, spreading warmth, happiness, and holiday cheer to all who gathered. It was a heartwarming experience that touched the hearts of both the singers and the listeners alike.

To wrap up the month, we hosted a big Christmas party for our elders, staff, and families. The event was filled with delicious food, thoughtful gifts, and plenty of festive fun. Elders enjoyed mingling with their loved ones and the Rogers Health and Rehabilitation Center family, all while celebrating the joy and togetherness of the holiday season. It was a perfect way to cap off a month full of festivities and good cheer.

As we reflect on the month of December, we are filled with gratitude for the wonderful moments shared by our elders, staff, and the entire Rogers Health and Rehabilitation Center community. It was a busy, joy-filled month, full of connection, creativity, and celebration. We are grateful for the opportunity to bring holiday cheer to our elders and make this season extra special for them.

Looking ahead to the New Year, we are excited to continue offering engaging activities, meaningful connections, and a supportive environment for all those we serve. From our family to yours, we wish everyone a Happy New Year filled with love, health, and happiness.

Stay tuned for more exciting events and activities as we move into 2025!
